Web Design & Development
Sites that sell, not just sit there looking pretty.
A gorgeous website that doesn't convert is the most expensive wallpaper you'll ever buy. We've built 200+ Shopify stores and driven $12M+ in revenue through sites we designed — because we design for the sale, not the screenshot.

Your site looks great. So why isn't anyone buying?
Here's the scenario we see constantly.
A brand spends $20K, $30K, $50K on a new website. The designer sends over beautiful mockups. Everyone on the team loves the look. It launches. The champagne comes out.
And then… nothing changes. Conversion rate is the same. Maybe worse. Bounce rate is still high. Mobile users are leaving even faster than before. The homepage looks like a magazine spread but nobody can find the product they're looking for.
The hard truth? Most web design is designed for designers, not for customers. The agency prioritized aesthetics over usability. White space over information density. Fancy animations over fast load times. Award submissions over checkout completions.
We do the opposite.
Every design decision we make starts with one question: will this make more people buy?Not “does this look cool.” Not “will this win a Webby.” Will. More. People. Buy. If the answer is no, it doesn't make the cut.
That's the difference between a website and a revenue engine.
What makes a site convert (and what we obsess over)
Pretty sites are easy. Sites that sell are rare. Here's what separates the two:
Conversion-first design — every element earns its place
We don't add elements because they look nice. Every hero section, product grid, trust badge, testimonial block, and CTA placement is there because data says it increases conversions. We study heatmaps, scroll depth, and click patterns from hundreds of stores we've built. We know where people look, where they click, and where they drop off. And we design accordingly.
Mobile-first — because 70%+ of your traffic is on a phone
We don't design for desktop and then squeeze it onto mobile. We design for the phone first. Every layout, every button size, every scroll interaction, every checkout step — built for the thumb. Then we scale up to tablet and desktop. Because if your mobile experience isn't frictionless, you're losing the majority of your visitors before they ever see a product page.
Speed obsession — sub-2-second load times or it's not done
Every 100ms of additional load time costs you 1% in conversions. That's not our opinion — that's Google's data. We obsess over Core Web Vitals, image compression, code splitting, lazy loading, and server-side rendering. Our target is sub-2-second load times on 4G. Not because it's a nice number. Because slow sites bleed money.
Data-driven decisions — not design opinions
We don't guess. We install heatmaps, session recordings, and analytics before we design anything. We study where your current visitors are dropping off, what they're clicking, what they're ignoring. Then we design solutions for the actual problems — not the problems we assume exist. Post-launch, we A/B test every major element to keep improving.

$340K
Added monthly revenue
A fashion DTC brand came to us doing $4M a year with a 1.2% conversion rate. Their site looked stunning — full-bleed photography, clean typography, tons of white space. It had won a design award the year before.
It was also costing them roughly $400K a year in lost sales.
When we pulled the analytics, the problems were immediate. The homepage hero was a full-screen lifestyle photo with zero product visibility — visitors had to scroll past two screens before they saw anything for sale. Product pages had beautiful imagery but buried the “Add to Cart” button below the fold on mobile. The navigation had 8 categories with no visual hierarchy, so new visitors had no idea where to start.
We redesigned the homepage with product collections front and center. Added social proof above the fold — review count, bestseller badges, “as seen in” press logos. Restructured navigation from 8 categories to 4, with “Shop New” and “Bestsellers” as the primary paths. Rebuilt product pages to put the CTA, price, size selector, and review stars all visible on mobile without scrolling. Compressed every image and cut the page weight by 60%.
Conversion rate went from 1.2% to 3.8% within 45 days. Bounce rate dropped 41%. On their existing traffic of 180K monthly sessions, that translated to roughly $340K in additional monthly revenue. Same traffic. Different site. Completely different outcome.

$1.2M
First year revenue lift
A supplements brand doing $6M annually was running on an older WooCommerce setup with a custom subscription plugin that broke every other week. Checkout abandonment was at 78%. Pages took 5-6 seconds to load. Every third customer support ticket was about the subscription portal not working.
They needed to migrate to Shopify Plus. But it wasn't just a platform swap — it was a complete rethink of how their store worked.
We rebuilt everything on Shopify Plus with a custom theme optimized for supplement products. Product pages put subscription options front and center with clear pricing comparisons (one-time vs. subscribe-and-save). Added a one-click upsell flow in checkout — “add protein bars to your order for 20% off” — that increased average order value by 38%. Integrated Recharge for subscriptions with a customer portal that actually worked. Cut page load time from 5.6 seconds to 1.8 seconds.
The checkout? We stripped it down to essentials. Removed the 6-step checkout that WooCommerce had forced and replaced it with Shopify's streamlined one-page checkout with express payment options (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Checkout completion rate doubled— from 22% to 44%.
First year post-migration, the brand added $1.2M in revenue without increasing ad spend. Subscription sign-up rate went from 12% to 31% of orders. Support tickets about the subscription portal dropped to near zero.
Same products. Same traffic. Same customer base. Different platform, different design, completely different revenue.
What we build (and what each option is actually for)
There's no one-size-fits-all in web development. Here's what we offer and — more importantly — when each option makes sense:
Shopify Theme Builds
Custom themes built on Shopify's latest Online Store 2.0 architecture. Fully customizable sections that your team can edit without touching code. Optimized for speed, SEO, and conversions out of the box. Best for: brands doing $500K-$5M that need a professional, high-converting store without enterprise-level complexity. Timeline: 6-8 weeks.
Custom Shopify Development
When you need functionality that doesn't exist in a theme. Custom product configurators, complex bundling logic, advanced filtering, loyalty program integrations, unique checkout experiences. We build custom Shopify apps and theme extensions using Shopify's latest APIs. Best for:brands with specific functionality requirements that off-the-shelf solutions can't handle. Timeline: 8-12 weeks.
Shopify Plus Builds & Migrations
Enterprise Shopify. Custom checkout experiences, Shopify Scripts for advanced pricing, B2B wholesale channels, multi-store management, Shopify Flow automations, and dedicated support. We handle full platform migrations from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, and custom platforms — including product data, customer data, order history, and SEO redirects. Best for:brands doing $5M+ or growing fast enough that they'll be there soon. Timeline: 8-16 weeks.
Headless / Custom Builds (Next.js + Shopify)
For brands that need maximum performance and complete design freedom. We build headless storefronts using Next.js on the frontend with Shopify as the commerce engine. Sub-second page loads, fully custom UI, and the flexibility to integrate with any third-party system. Best for: high-traffic brands where every millisecond of speed impacts revenue, or brands with complex multi-system architectures. Timeline: 10-16 weeks.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Don't need a full redesign? We run targeted optimization sprints. Heatmap analysis, user session recordings, A/B testing on key pages, checkout optimization, product page layout testing, and mobile UX improvements. Month-over-month conversion rate gains without rebuilding from scratch. Best for: brands with a decent site that just needs fine-tuning. Ongoing monthly engagement.
Why speed is the conversion lever nobody talks about
Let's talk about the unsexy thing that moves the needle more than any hero section redesign ever will: page speed.
Here are the numbers. For every additional second your site takes to load, you lose approximately 7% of conversions. A site that loads in 5 seconds has a 38% higher bounce rate than one that loads in 1 second. Google factors page speed into search rankings. And 53% of mobile visitors leave if a page takes longer than 3 seconds.
Most Shopify stores we audit load in 4-6 seconds. That's not terrible — but it's costing them 15-20% of their potential revenue. On a store doing $3M a year, that's $450K-$600K in lost sales. From load time alone.
Here's what we do about it:
Image optimization — WebP conversion, responsive sizing, lazy loading for everything below the fold
Code audit — remove unused CSS/JS, defer non-critical scripts, eliminate render-blocking resources
App audit — identify which Shopify apps are adding bloat and find lighter alternatives
Theme optimization — minimize DOM size, reduce layout shifts, optimize Liquid rendering
CDN and caching — proper cache headers, edge delivery, preloading critical assets
Core Web Vitals — LCP under 2.5s, FID under 100ms, CLS under 0.1 on every page
Third-party script management — tag manager cleanup, async loading, script consolidation
Font optimization — self-hosted fonts, font-display swap, subset to characters actually used
Our target is sub-2-second load times on every page. Not just the homepage — every product page, every collection page, every checkout step. Because your customers don't just visit your homepage. They land on product pages from ads, collection pages from email, and the checkout from everywhere. Every page has to be fast.
How we build a site that actually sells
Straightforward process. No surprises. No scope creep.
Discovery & Strategy (Week 1-2)
Analytics deep dive, competitor analysis, audience research, user flow mapping, copy strategy, and a detailed design brief. We study your current site's performance data to understand exactly what needs to change and why. You get a strategy document before we design a single pixel.
Design (Weeks 3-5)
Wireframes first, then high-fidelity Figma designs. Mobile-first. Homepage, key product pages, collection pages, and checkout flow. Two rounds of revisions. You see and approve everything before development starts. No "trust us, it'll look great" — you see exactly what your customers will see.
Development (Weeks 5-8)
Frontend build on Shopify (or your chosen platform). Integration of all apps and third-party tools. Content upload. Conversion tracking setup. Speed optimization. Mobile testing across devices. Cross-browser QA. Everything built to spec, pixel-perfect.
Launch & Optimize (Week 8+)
Staged launch with monitoring. SEO redirect verification. Performance tracking. Heatmap installation. Then the ongoing work begins: A/B testing, CRO sprints, monthly optimization based on real user data. Launch is day one, not the finish line.
