Best use cases: cart abandonment (immediate, time-sensitive), product drops (urgency), back-in-stock alerts, VIP exclusive offers. Compliance is critical — TCPA in the US, PECR in UK, GDPR in EU. Subscribers must explicitly opt in with double consent. Sending unsolicited SMS is a fast path to lawsuits and carrier blocks.
