Our recommendation
For eCommerce: Klaviyo without question. SendGrid simply does not have the eCommerce features needed to drive email revenue. No Shopify data, no behavioral segmentation, no revenue attribution, no product-specific automation.
For transactional email (order confirmations, shipping notifications, password resets): SendGrid is excellent and can run alongside Klaviyo for those use cases. Many brands use both — Klaviyo for marketing, SendGrid for transactional.
